Implementing Building Information Modeling (BIM), a Virtual Design & Construction Tool (VDC), enables project teams to:

• Increase partnership and information share between project team members
• Make solid and intelligent decisions earlier in the project lifecycle
• Utilize three dimensional blueprint views of the building model vs. outdated hard copies

Using BIM at Irving ISD's Union Bower Center for Learing allows the primary subcontractor trades: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, concrete, steel and cold form metal framing to detect potential conflicts and work together to resolve these conflicts prior to any occurence at the project site.  Solving conflicts before they occur allows Charter Builders to deliver  concrete results at the site and all around "Best Value" for the customer!
